What Else Can I Do?

February 7, 2011

Another rhyming attempt that I discovered on my hard disk, it is not autobiographical.

What Else Can I Do?

I’m walking slowly round the silent lake
Wondering how many bad news I can take
So many blows, and still not going crazy
My future though looks increasingly hazy

I claimed my rights, demanded freedom
Was searching, struggling for some wisdom
I learned, freedom means loneliness
I learned, loneliness means distress

Watching the young girls, they are cute
Don’t try to bother, they are rude
My little wisdom is worth nothing
Trends, fashions rule, money is king

I’m walking slowly round the silent lake
Wondering how many blows I still can take
So many blows, and still not going mad
Some people take it easy, I feel sick and sad

Go out and seek, you may find something
So many other souls are seeking
Look near and far, someone could wait
Someone could be your perfect mate

I’m tired, I was hurt so many times
Is any use and sense in my plain rhymes?
I’ll keep on searching, waiting in the cue
Not many options, not much else to do
