Little Cat Blues
December 28, 2010I lost my job on a bad day, I caused an accident
My baby left, I had no money and couldn’t pay the rent
I’m left alone, a little cat is now my only friend
I’m sitting on the river bank, I’ve lot of time at hand
I’m thinking back, remembering the good times that I’ve spent
I’m left alone, a little cat is now my only friend
I’m wondering how I will go on and how it will all end
I’m sleeping in a trailer, left abandoned in the sand
I’m left alone, a little cat is now my only friend
The cat supports herself with mice, she doesn’t need a cent
The cat purrs, when I talk to her and touch her with my hand
We’re feeling fine, I know, that I can trust my little friend
