About Julian Assange and other victims of institutional violence
June 25, 2024I aways wondered what event would motivate me to issue another post on this blog. Now I know: Julian Assange is freed in one of the rare examples of mercy in this savage, unsparing world.
Compassion, grace, mercy. Julian deserves it. But many other living beings deserve it too. For example: Palestinians imprisoned or starved to death; Soldiers killed or maimed in Ukraine, DRC, Sudan, Myanmar, and countless other places; animals and plants destroyed in the war-zones.
Mercy to all of them!
Celebrate mercy, celebrate any glimmer of hope in this increasingly warmer, yet darker world.
